Yehuda Moraly is a professor emeritus from the Theatre Studies Department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He wrote and directed several plays about Jewish themes and published academic books dealing with Film and Theatre. One recent publication is ”Revolution in Paradise: veiled representations of Jewish characters in the cinema of occupied France” (Liverpool University Press, 2020). Lately he established a program dedicated to stage readings of forgotten Jewish Plays that took place at Mikro Theatre (Jerusalem). As a part of the program he translated into Hebrew (with Sara Moraly) and directed the play The New Ghetto (1894) by Theodor Herzl.
