Multi-Gender Hebrew: Creating a New Space in the Hebrew Language.
Can the 27 letters of the ancient Alef-Beth and the gendered Hebrew language be adjusted to the needs of the 21st century? Why is it important to use Hebrew in an inclusive and gender-neutral way? Designer Michal Shomer created Multi-Gender Hebrew – a new set of Hebrew letters facilitating multi-gender reading and writing. The Multi-Gender Hebrew makes women present in the Hebrew language and forms an all-inclusive linguistic space for non-binary people, promoting equality as its main purpose.
