UNCOVERED: Women’s Roles, Mitzvot and Sexuality in Jewish Law

We will examine the difference in mitzvah obligations between men and women in traditional Jewish community and how these impact gender dynamics when it comes to rabbinic decision making, perpetuating a power dynamic that disfavors women and how that has begun to change with the influx of learned women and female rabbinic authorities that have become more prevalent even within Orthodoxy and have had impact.
