16-17 NOVEMBER 2024

The session explores the prophets’ use of dramatic methods to form a political theatre. Yehuda Moraly, professor in theatre studies,  describes the role of prophets in the ancient scriptural era, emphasizing their use of symbolic actions and theatrical methods to communicate their divine messages. Prophets, like artists, were driven by a divine vocation to both see and transmit visions and examples of prophetic theatricality will be given. Lukas Becker moderates this zoom-session.
