Creating a legacy for the future: Yiddish in Swedish Archives

To mark 250 years of Jewish life in Sweden, the Yiddish Association has launched an exciting initiative: to create an online catalogue showcasing Yiddish materials housed in Swedish archives. The project also seeks to uncover Yiddish documents held in private collections and help their owners find suitable archival homes. This presentation will explore the project’s aims, share discoveries made so far, and offer practical guidance on how to preserve family treasures for future generations.
